Glass Technics are working very closely with United Protective Technologies of the USA who have Developed a Unique Peel Off Film for the Protection of Helicopter Windscreens

United Protective Technologies introduced their concept of protective film for use on Helicopters to the Aviation Applied Technologiy Directorate in March 2002.

The film can be pre-formed to fit most window designs. Application methods are simple, and UPT can provide the necessary items to facilitate application. An application CD ROM is provided free of charge.

Windscreen lifespan could potentially become infinite by applying 2 or more layers of ASSALT on the windscreen, while keeping a primary layer on the windscreen at all times. As an outer layer becomes soiled or scratched, it can be removed without leaving any residue on the freshly exposed layer.
